I’m not sure if it’s the new update or not but there’s now a huge watermark in the middle of the chat screen and even when I screenshot it’s still there which makes this app now unusable. It can’t be because of a non-premium thing as I have premium. Is there any way to get rid of it?

Yes, you can remove that yourself. Chat Menu > Theme Style > Background.

Is there a way to just remove the watermark or do you have to change the background?

Removal of the Watermark will be a premium feature. But for not premium users you have to change the background.
